Notes

  • In Singapore, the MRT network is massive, but for most of this trip I still used buses. Buses were also very convenient and often involved less walking than the MRT.
  • If you are traveling solo, try joining a walking tour. I joined two walking tours in Singapore with the same provider, Monster Day Tours, and by coincidence the tour guide was also the same. They were promoted as free walking tours, but I gave a tip once at the end, which in my mind covered both experiences. Walking tours are also a good way to meet other tourists from different countries and sometimes even make new friends.
