Finally finished the final season of Peaky Blinders—four years late, but better late than never. What I enjoyed most throughout the series were the scenes driven by the music. The combination of visuals, atmosphere, and soundtrack is incredibly satisfying, and for me, that remains the show's greatest strength.
I also liked how Tommy Shelby always managed to turn things around whenever he was cornered. Even though that pattern had become predictable, it was still interesting to watch. What surprised me most was that he did not die from his illness. I actually think the ending would have been stronger if he had, because it would have felt more fitting for his character arc.
Born Again Season 2 ultimately fails as a hero's journey because Matt's obsession with moral purity turns him into a dangerous enabler. By saving Fisk from Bullseye only to watch him slaughter hundreds more, Matt prioritizes his own "clean hands" over the lives of the innocent people he swore to protect. Letting a mass murderer walk free while Matt rots in a cell isn't justice—it's a betrayal that proves his rigid principles have become more destructive than the villains he fights.
